Casus Belli is made by Labwyze Studio. We collect as little as possible. This page says what, why, for how long, and how to have it deleted.
If you play without an account
Solo games, campaigns and your saved decks stay on your own device (in your browser's local storage, or in the Mac app). We do not receive them. If you join an online room as a guest, the server sees the name you typed and your IP address while you are connected, and forgets both when you leave.
If you create an account

Who sees it
Only us and the services that make the game work: Netlify (hosts this site and the web game), Cloudflare (carries the connection between your device and our game server) and Resend (sends the confirmation and password emails; it receives your email address and the message). We do not sell your data, we show no ads, and we use no advertising or analytics trackers on this site or in the game.
The game server runs on our own equipment in Canada. Cloudflare and Netlify may process traffic in other countries.
Your rights
- Delete your account at any time: sign in, open Online → Your account → Delete my account. It erases your account, rating, sessions and email immediately.
- See, correct or export your data, or ask a question: write to hello@casusbelli.games. We answer within 30 days.
- If you are not satisfied, you may contact the privacy authority of your region (in Quebec: the Commission d'accès à l'information).
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies. The game stores on your device only what it needs to work: your settings, your decks, your campaign progress and, if you sign in, a session key. You can clear it at any time from your browser.
Children
Casus Belli is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date above changes and, for account holders, we say so in the game.
